About

Wyzant Lead Filter is a private automation tool that monitors a personal Gmail inbox for incoming tutoring lead emails from Wyzant. It reads each email, uses an AI model to assess whether the lead is a good fit, labels and archives the email in Gmail accordingly, and stores a structured record in a personal database for review.

This tool is used exclusively by its owner and is not distributed to or accessible by any other users.

Data accessed

This application accesses the following Gmail data via the Gmail API:

• Email message content (subject, body, sender) for emails matching Wyzant lead criteria
• Gmail labels — to apply qualification labels and archive processed emails

How data is used

• Email content is read to parse lead details (subject, requested skills, student location)
• Parsed lead data is sent to a large language model (Google Gemini) to assess qualification
• A structured lead record (qualification score, reasoning, lead metadata) is stored in a personal Supabase database owned and operated by the application owner
• Gmail labels are applied to each email to indicate whether the lead was qualified or not
• Emails are archived after processing

Data sharing and storage

• Gmail data is not sold, shared with third parties, or used for advertising
• Email content is transmitted to Google Gemini solely for qualification analysis and is subject to Google's API terms
• Structured lead records are stored in a private Supabase (PostgreSQL) database accessible only to the owner
• No raw email content is stored — only parsed lead fields and qualification metadata

Data retention

Lead records are retained in the personal database indefinitely for the owner's reference. Raw email content is not stored and remains only in Gmail under the owner's control.

Security

OAuth tokens and API credentials are stored in Google Cloud Secret Manager and are never committed to source control or shared. All data is transmitted over HTTPS.
